I didn’t know what a weight loss coach was two years ago.  I thought coaches were for sports teams.

What I did know was that I want to help other women.

When I was in college, I struggled with disordered eating.  I cycled through periods of extreme calorie restriction to binging  to extreme exercising and back again.  It was miserable and not only did it take its toll on my body but my mental health deteriorated as well.

Counseling helped me get my mental health back on track and I was extremely grateful for it.  I even changed my major to psychology because I knew I wasn’t the only woman suffering in this way.  I wanted to help them.  I dreamed of working in a women’s clinic and helping women every day improve their life experience.

Fast forward to September 2019 and I was introduced to life coaching.

It blew my mind.  I had never stopped to question the thoughts in my head on a regular basis.  I was being tossed around from day to day with whatever life gave me and reacting in whatever way my brain deemed best.  It was a complete game changer when I started slowing down to notice my thoughts.

I began applying life coaching principles to my eating.

I started questioning why I wanted to eat before every snack and meal.  And you know what?  The overwhelming majority of time, I was NOT eating because I was hungry.  I was eating for happiness, boredom, stress relief, anger, sadness…I mean you name the emotion and I was in the pantry trying to find the perfect food for it.

After getting curious with myself and my eating habits, the weight started coming off.  I  was able to tune into what hunger and satiation felt like in my body again.  I was able to identify the times I was trying to avoid or enhance an emotion I was feeling.  I no longer felt the pull from the pantry when emotions came bubbling up.

I was finally in control of my health!

I felt like a new woman.  I discovered the answer to food freedom in my life.  I felt like I wanted to share this secret with EVERYONE.  And then I remembered my dream and decided I had to go out and share this with as many women as possible.

Dieting and weight loss can be a tumultuous and stressful experience.

I guide women to better health using love, acceptance and empathy.

I chose to be a weight loss coach so I could help women change their relationship with the scale, their weight and their bodies in the most stress free way possible.

Are you ready for a no stress approach to weight loss?
